Sunday Summary - January 12, 2012

We are making progress on our network of projects related to the coffee house.  In the background of Kudzujungle.com are a few blogs that will be rolling out soon.  Here's a summary of what's happened, and what we're working on for this week.

KICKSTARTER

Yay!  Our project was accepted on Kickstarter.com!   Check out our intro video we had to create.  I hate being on camera because of my weight, but I'm working on that.  Since our documentary is about being transparent, and going through the good, the bad and day to day happenings of building a coffee house, so be it.  You get to see the bad for a while until I get back to where I'm supposed to be.

COFFEE HOUSE

We start working on the coffee house today.  The Anderson County Health Department needs plans for each room.  We also have to start scraping the ceiling to make it smooth.  Can't have a textured ceiling in the food industry.  We'll add video and photos on our Kickstarter blog.

KUDZU JUNGLE

We have the structure in place!  We are utilizing Joomla, Wordpress, JomSocial and EasyBlog.   Now, we begin adding content and working on the documentary.

HOMESTEADING

We are in the planning stages of our homestead at the coffee house.  We have a HUGE yard to work with. 

DUCK TO SWAN

That started today.  Oy!  Long road ahead.  It's a segment of our documentary of going from being 100+ pounds overweight, to being a musician and a dancer.  I spent years in government contracting.  The first year I was in a little cubicle and from early morning to late at night I worked in the cubicle.  Then I went to my place of business and worked in my office there until bed time.  Then I started over the next day.  No exercise.   I was really caught up in Corporate America and gave up my dreams of art, music and dance.    This is my journey back to my hearts desires.  

THE HEART OF AN ENTREPRENEUR:

This is a blog about business, processes and all the things that I was blackballed from selling because I was not a corporate favorite.  So, I am going to offer up my plans, thoughts, and my entrepreneur heart, to the public...open source....  Though, I am scaling down our business plans because unless you are a government contractor, working on military processes, you won't care to learn so many details.  But, I have found a new home for my project that got me blackballed!!  For now, I'm nicknaming it "Town Hall".  

This blog will be rolling out in the near future.

MUSIC

Wesley has been plugging away learning on an electric guitar that was given to him.  I miss him playing drums, but we don't have a set right now.  We'll eventually have drums in the coffee house.  I have not started music yet, other than learning percussion from Wesley.  I'm focusing on the coffee house plans right now.
